Fr Ku - thank-you. I feel privileged to have heard your talk on Humanae Vitae given at the House of Studies.
It is clear and helpful but I need to watch it again and take notes!

"Sin did not conquer Jesus; Jesus conquered sin." I'm so glad he said that! This is exactly what people are implicitly denying through their assumptions of the inevitability of human failure. God's grace empowers us to escape temptation and overcome evil. Too many in the church have shut out the voice of God and given themselves over to worldly deception.

so, not to be crude- but as a sincere question- what does the Church teach about sexual relations within marriage that does not involve actual intercourse....? Good teaching- I m not Catholic per say but I find a lot of the teaching enlightening- I had always had felt something funny about birth control once i learned of all its negative side effects- thanks!

Openness does not require that the couple try to conceive but, simply to accept the child if there is conception. A couple having marital sex when they are reasonably sure that they are infertile, are not acting against the will of God who creates that infertile time. The infertility is God-made and not man-made.

To be open to a gift of a child in each marital "act", then shouldn't the couple only have sex when they think the female is fertile after using NFP vs other way around? By using NFP to avoid getting pregnant, such as using contraception, then makes no rational difference.

in my opinion, an accurate description of Humanae Vitae should be broadcast on television to reach even unbelievers. at the very least, this would offer them further understanding into the mentality of the Church. Any ideas on how this can be done?
