France doesn't actually have a universal healthcare system, you'll seldom find a French citizen who will even refer to it as such. What they have is a mixed system with both private and public options. On the contrary, the French look down on the socialist systems in Britain and Canada.

u are totally wrong, and for the record,i lived in france germany and now here in the US.

What is considered private insurance in france or germany etc...is not what the fuck and scam we have in the US.....their private insurance is totally something else, than what we have in the US that is also private insurance. So dont let the uneducated americans bit eon your statement.

And for the recorded, the healthcae in france is called publicly funded fully covered health insurance

in germany for an example,everyone has universal health care, bt you can also buy private insurance and added to to the universal...but what Private insurance in germany and in most european countries means is, you get always a private room, u have the right to be only seen by the senior physicians etc....kinda like flying first class u know.. So what we have and only have in the US called private insurance has nothing to do with private insurance what europeans add to theirs

@muratshawn You are right, but please notice in France that they (right wing government) are trying to remove the universal healthcare system.

It's funded by companies and workers as "contribution" (taxes if you prefer). The biggest part come from the companies.

By making gift for the biggest companies, the funds are no longer sufficent and the system is goind down. Just like any corrupted system.

Now every year we have to pay more and more for the "hole of the social security".
