No, you don't have to explain the whole film - nor do you have to patronise. Our's our theories - same as yours. As we said, part of our niggles with Returns was that these things were wholly unanswered, unwrapped ends - we're hoping they're explained in Man Of Steel - but to be honest there's too many open and unexplained ends in this film which leads to alot of interpretation.

(part 6) Jason- why? where the hell will this go! now the 2nd film (which i had hope do an incredible hulk)will have to deal with him for so much. WHO CARES! i dont need Superdead-beat dad. id rather have had issue come up later on with superman not being able to have kids due to being different species.

I didnt think about the Krypt activation :), but i try not think about Krypt in that film :P cooonfuuusing :P

(part 5) Design- Okay when are we??? see i get its connected, but u could pretend that 1&2 happened in 90s- INSTEAD we get this stupis blend of 70s style clothes and computers?

Super Suit- why cant they remove the underwear? X-men and Batman did it- they are the real world and taken seriously. Yet we still get our undy clad Superman which looks so stupid in real life.

Need action? simple-USE THE DAM KRYPTONIAN WEAPONS!nod here to braniac also with Lex unleashing androids to fight

(part 4) Lex- Spacey rocked (thou i perfer Micheal Rose guys :P) he did really well with what he was given. Okay i get that he couldnt have Lexcorp due to donner contin BUT CAN WE STOP WITH THE LAND SCHEMES!!!! dam it! see IF this was him using crystals to take over World, using land to remodel world and weapons to take over cool!!!- BUUT to make new apartments??? kill billions to have housing estate! come on- what the hell.

(part 3) Superman- ... i think u got this down with ur comments about him :P spying, attempted cheating, lack of protection!!! Luckily kryton covlently appeared to go rescue :P I want the true Superman; Clark Kent!!! i had this prob with the Donner Films also, but this was the MODERN one!

JImmy- bow tie? again need modern. Perry- fine in my opion. Richard- Good job, not much work with.

(part 2) To begin with there was just something off with this movie. the movie had this almost monotoned aspect with hardly any ups or downs as it grudged along. I get they were making this as a drama, but that doesnt mean it has to have such bad pacing and mestalgia.

Lois Lane- WTF! what a b*tch. Add to that that she is weak (wanted to call her sumthin startin with p :P) tottally opposite to the Lois character. Smallvile and S:TAS/Justice League still has best Lois ive seen

I knew this film was going to be a weird remake/sequel, and though i was annoyed we werent going to get a new superman; not to say donner 1&2 where bad just they were outdated, i still thought it would be good.

Unfortunately i came out half-hearted; trying to reassure myself that it was good movie, but with repeated viewing i am left bitter by this film. I cant stand to watch it.

Awesome review guys (im also an Australian :P) When i took my bro to this i had accepted it was weird sequel/remake which meant was connected to the old films. Dont get me wrong; they're pretty good the two donner ones, BUT like ur spider-rant "it was good back then". SO i knew i wasnt going to get a new Superman, but i thought still be a great film.

Sure there are unresolved things, but I was just pointing out thing that you seemed to have missed...which of course give you the excuse to go watch the film again to check...which isn't a bad thing...it's the same with me and Star Wars...any excuse to watch the films again.
