@diegomansi he is not adam clayton. From wikipedia Adam Clayton was bed-ridden and unable to play, and was replaced by bass technician Stuart Morgan. Although on stage Bono cited a virus as the reason for Clayton's not appearing that night, it has since been revealed that Clayton was too hungover to play, as confirmed by Bono during an interview many years later.

I love this song, in fact, it's my favorite. But is it just me or did you notice at 3:10 they did the "midnight" verse one to many times, and Bono (or macphisto) was expecting to end it there. At 3:14, he gives edge a weird look. But in such a complicated song, it's understandable. Imagine Bono singing this today...LMFAO
