315lb bench press without a spot for 10 reps. My right arm after being shot with a .38 caliber revolver was less dominant than my left.

  • You're the man

  • @travisrey Thanks Travis!

  • Dude. That is badass. You got shot in the freaking arm and your still bull strong!

I mean its not cool that you got shot, but it is cool that you don't let that hold you back! 5 STARS!!!!!

  • @PWRLFTR242 Thanks for the encouraging words. My right arm where the bullet entered and exited suffered partial paralysis from the bruising of the radial nerve. Eventually, when the nerve died off back to the point of origin and made it's way back down, I regained mobility in my hand. My dad who was deeply effected by my injury told me in my depression that you can succeed or fail either way it is a choice you have to live with. That is why I put up the video to encourage other's to keep going!

  • @PWRLFTR242 Thanks. I was shot with a .38 caliber revolver the bullet went through and through the right arm and one lodged in my left femur. I was left with a plate in my arm and a rod in my femur. It was a long road to recovery but you have two choices, give up or go on...I chose the latter. Always remain positive! All the best!

  • @muzimuzi Coming to the aid of a girl who I was friends with who was beaten by a sadistic ass*ole. I produced my arms, he produced a gun (coward) and shot me twice. I spent the next year in rehab learning to walk again and came back and did Mr. Southeast Florida and took 1st place in the heavy weight class. I had good intentions however you know the adage that the road to hell is paved with them. I wouldn't have changed anything because adversity is a joke now!

  • very impressive man, only thing I don't like is the bouncing off the chest, but great strength!!

  • @silencer186 Sorry for the late reply, I missed the post. I have had days when I get under 315 pounds or more and I just don't feel it. Remember if you have to go lighter then do it. On the days you are feeling strong then warm up and then go to 315 remember you have a limited amount of ATP or energy and after a couple of sets you will start building up Lactic Acid which will inhibit the lift.

  • @1blackwed1 Thanks I appreciate the positive feedback. I really want to inspire those who face physical adversity. Better to pick someone up then to put them down!

  • dude, inspirational.

  • Well done man, I've trained natural for over 13 years and can only do that weight for 4 bad reps, I'm only 13 stone 4 and 5 foot 9 though, u look like a big guy. I've got to ask, what's the story behind the shooting??

  • Your probably right. When I walked on as a fullback at Florida State University, the first thing on board drills that Coach Billy Sexton (Running back coach) said "were going to find out if your a football player or a weight lifter" I ended up fourth on the depth chart behind Paul Moore who was under Edgar Bennett (Green Bay Packers). But to answer the question, I am not a power lifter nor did I have any desire to be. All the best.
