Well ok maybe he didn't know the song and had to learn how to play it..
So he practiced and got really good at it.. no surprise there..
But do you see that bandage on his arm??
You know why that is.
Because he had overdosed on a plane just before this tour. he was in a hospital and the pumped other drugs in to him to sober him up and that patch is where they did that..
He was sober during this tour hence he could play very well not because he just learned it

No he was a base player before he got in to the sex pistols.
Thats why he was there and how he got in..
He was Johnny's friend and he knew sid was a base player and when Glen left Johnny asked sid if he wanted to join..
He played base.. He became a front man after getting strung out on heroin and looked sloppy.. at that time that was appealing to the young audience. He would get strung on heroin start playing crappy so when he was stoned on tour they would pull his amp because he was stoned

Sid could play base folks very very well he always could his problem when it came to playing was him being strung out on heroin and being so stoned he then couldn't play but somewhere along the line people only started hearing he can't play. But I was around when this song was new and we knew at that time he can play
