ANNISE PARKER FIRES BACK AT PETER BROWN!

Houston Mayoral candidate Annise Parker is firing back. Her target is Councilman Peter Brown. Brown, who's also running for mayor, alleged in some his campaign literature that Parker in her role as City Controller dropped the ball. He says Parker missed deadlines for filing the city's financial reports and Brown pointed to an audit that showed under Parker's watch the city's financial security was at risk. Parker says what Brown is trying to do is mislead the public. In a mid morning press conference Parker said, "this is a falsehood that smears my reputation but it directly attacks the Controller's office and you're not going to go after my people and I'm not going to respond."
