  • Great video and song. I believe he was known as Hollywood's tough guy back in the day, 5

  • Thanks V.C. He was a pretty tough man but no thug. A really decent intelligent man... with a devilish sense of humor.

  • Where the HECK did you find a recording sung by Robert Mtchum?!!!! Never heard of this!!!

Great tone to his voice...wonder if he made any other recordings?

  • Yeah, actually Mitchum made quite a few recordings. Most notably a calypso album around 1957, which is absolutely great!

  • This was the b side to ' Ballad of Thunder Road' which is also a great song. Recorded on the capotol label around 1958. I've got the single.

  • I am not the type of person who would say that someone sizzled. But he did. great talent

  • ANY BODY KNOW WHERE I CAN FIN THESE RECORDINGS. I DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS A SINGER BUT HE WAS GREAT.I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ALL HIS RECORDINGS.brendajarrell60

  • I'm glad to have to found this. He can sing quite well.

  • Oh dear Robert please just stick to acting,

  • @monceau27 Not sure if this matters anymore 8 months since you asked, but it's actually Jane Russell, not Rita Hayworth. I know people get them confused for some reason. Robert and Jane did 'His Kind of Woman' and 'Macao' too.

  • It was the b side of thunder road - on the purple capitol label. I know coz I've got it. recorded in 1958

  • this was the "B" side of Thunder Road. I remember it had a purple label, Capital I think

  • @mcqueen5

How cool! I was always a huge fan of the late great Bob Mitchum as an actor. Now I know he also had a FINE singing voice! How delightful to know he was a nice fellow offscreen. He never seemed to take himself too seriously. THANKS for your heartwarming comment! :)

  • HE IS MY CUZIN!
