The Asda price campaign came back in 1992,under Archie Norman and Allan Leighton who revived the chain after it nearly went bankrupt in 1991,because of it's acquisition of the overpriced larger Gateway stores and many of its stores were in poor areas and people found the then upmarket Asda too expensive to shop in.

I miss the old Asda ads, they had a very catchy jingle which everybody remembers, I even used to sing it! That's what I call very clever marketing!
