EMILY THE PERFECT DOWN SYNDROME CHILD

As my children were born, I wanted them to be perfect. When they were babies, I wanted them to smile & be content playing with their toys. I wanted them to be happy & to laugh continually instead of crying & being demanding. I wanted them to see the beautiful side of life. As they grew older, I wanted them to be giving instead of selfish. I wanted them to skip the terrible twos. I wanted them to be innocent forever. As they became teenagers, I wanted them to be obedient & not rebellious, mannerly & not mouthy. I wanted them to be full of love, gentle & kindhearted. Oh God, give me a child like this was often my prayer, One day he did. Some call her handicapped...I call her perfect!

I know of people who say that people who have kids that have down syndrome have them because they do not go to church or pray. I guess you do not believe that yourself.

@Ifindeverythingfunny first of all anyone who would say something like that say it out of ignorance. My daughter is absolutely the most wonderful loving child anyone has ever known. I love her dearly and would not change one thing about her, because then that would not be my Emily. I am blessed that God felt I was special enough to raise such a wonderful little girl.

My son is 23 months old. He has Down Syndrome. We learned at 17 weeks that our new born son would have Down Sysndrome. The Doc. told us we had time to think things over. We both told that Doc, there was nothing to think about. We just wanted to know how to care for our son. He is a joy just as this little Lady in the Video. I love her just as if she was my own. I enjoy ever moment as any parent with thier child does with any child. One questions, What is normal anyways?

Awesome video because my 14 yrs old boyfriend has Down Syndrome/Autism. Plus I am 16 yrs old girl with Cerebral Palsy. We been dating for 3 yrs now. We are special sweethearts to each other & we love each other alot, My family friend son is almost 8 has Down Syndrome. 4 other kids at my school has Down Syndrome are 20 yrs old boy, 17 yrs old boy, 16 yrs old boy & 10 yrs old girl. I go to Madonna School Serving Special Needs Students. I been going to Madonna for 3 yrs now.

I hav a sister named Kellie and she has downs. She is my older sister so I have been blessed to know her evvery day of my life. Now that I am older I help my perents take care of her. Im 25 and she is 34. I help with the everyday things. i still live at home so I can help with her. People ask me if I feel like I gave up anything to take care of her. That is not the case... she gave me everything. Love and Hope and Faith in God. Every time i wonder if God is reall I just have to look at her.

@MomandEmily Yeah i was just curious and all because whether that person was right or wrong or you are it does not make a difference really. I would like you do tell every other religion why theirs is wrong and yours is right. Id bet they have all the excuses you do as well.
