I think you made a good decision only because it was greatly affecting you from living a life. I am a female bipolar person who has been married for 8 years. I have been in and out of hospital, rapid cycling for the past 6yrs. It has been so hard on my husband, it has made him sick at times. I don't know how he hangs in but he just says he loves me and the short times when i am well, that is why he stays. Best luck to both of you, sometimes you have to take care of #1 first .
