The train is less than 20 miles from the end of its journey from Chicago to New York City. Running about 2 minutes late, the train is being hauled by P32DMAC #703.
I remember from 2007 the Lake Shore Limited had a Heritage Diner and it used to come after the 3 viewliner sleepers. In this shot the Horizon cafe car is behind the Amfleet 2 Cafe car/louge. In my videos there is a baggage car at the front and the rear. I dont understand why they dont use a Heritage diner on the Lake Shore Ltd. anymore.
nah, and actually most of the problems we both heard about werent flooding the Harlem was downed wires, and the thing at Ludlow was more of a minor washout than a flood.
um....no. 48 is the Chicago-NYP train. 448 is a CONNECTION which runs ALB-BOS. The "Berkshire Connection" is now just a connection, meaning every passenger destined for points EAST of ALB must get up and CHANGE TRAINS at ALB. Through cars were eliminated a few years ago. I agree its a shame, but thats the way it is now in a country run by people like GWBush who want to kill Amtrak who have made cuts like this necessary. Vote carefully in November!

this was shot back when the boston section was a connection and the entire train ran CHI-NYP intact other than engine change at ALB
They not using Heritage Diner account their "DINER LITE" program they claim is saving them money....
