sweet! I'v been looking into it and there is a guy in edmonton alberta that built a 440 stroker out of a 401 amc what he did was he used a 401 steel crank and offset ground the rod journals down to fit sb chevy rods and then bored it to fit .080 over (special order) 400 sb chevy pistons. thats what I would like to do in my rambler. small block 440 amc would be really cool! or if you dont feel like waiting for the special order pistons you can just do .060 over and make a 427ish

nice...I'd love to know how that chevy engine is mounted....the chevy mounts are way too forward to fit the amc x- member

I love the car but why wast your time with a chevy engine when you could have built a nice 401 or somthing

The car came with 350cid sbc. Maybe the next project with 401 :)
