The Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) is part of the Environmental Studies Program at the University of Oregon. This unique service-learning program provides undergraduate students with opportunities to partner with local organizations and get involved with various environmental projects in education, research, and/or community outreach. Through the ELP, students gain hands-on experience that put into practice the knowledge and skills they have learned in their academic career. In small teams, students learn about leadership, teamwork, professionalism, and many other invaluable real-world skills.
Recent ELP community partners include:
- Army Corps of Engineers
- Bureau of Land Management
- U.S. Forest Service
- Oregon Department of Environmental Quality
- Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife
- City of Eugene
- Eugene Water and Electric Board
- Springfield Utility Board
