TM is valid and worth infinitely more than they charge. There are also myriad other techniques which all lead to the same place. I'm not sure how TM has come to charge for their education of the technique, but I'm glad at least someone is doing it in an organized way. Enlightenment is free and available whenever you are ready. If you want formal education in a meditation practice, it is fair to pay a teacher. For God's sake, you will spend much more than this on lattes.

How do you expect a teacher to live; buy food, transport, clothes, shelter etc.... without charging for his/her time involved in teaching you this knowledge which benefits you will receive over a lifetime? TM teachers offer their knowledge to you whenever you seek it after you have paid a simple $1500 or so.
Do you expect UNI lecturers to offer their time and knowledge for free? Ridiculous.

Oh, and it's easy for people with money, connections, and power to 'bend the unified field' to produce research results that prove just what they say! If someone completely unbiased and not related to them comes up with the same results, then I would yield. But people - don't be ignorant sheep!

how do u learn Transcendental Meditation, i have adhd

@donna12283 It can be learned for as little as $750 and they have scholarships too. They are non-profit.

why does it cost $1500 to learn this? What about single moms and their children who really want to learn this, but can't possibly come up with that much money????

Your brains are real though right
If its so easy to learn, how come you have to pay $1500. It makes TM stand out as someone who sells happiness. Non-profit gives it a tax-exemption.
Make the training available as open source. That will make it useful for far more people. Isn't that the goal?
