Class 47 No 47085 arrives at Rickmansworth with Shenfield EMU 017 on 21 May. It is shunted into place by two battery locos.

Next morning 80079 and 69523 are seen at Wembley Park bringing their trains into service from Neaden depot. The underpass gradient was not designed for steam traction.
In support are BR English Electric Diesel 20227 and Met electric loco No 12 Sarah Siddons

  • where abouts on the network would the railfreight get onto the tube tracks? Greenford (old oak common)? Willesden?
