Of all the sights, sounds, and symbols of the US 1960s, there was no greater icon for that whole time than the sound of Mary Travers. She wasnt glamorous.She wasnt a looker. She was real, and she sang what and who she was. Peter and Paul let her. It worked. That was not my generation.Mozart wasnt either. GREAT MUSIC belongs to no generation; it belongs to everyone. I saw them live in 05. I had to go.There was no way I could explain to God one day that I didnt go to see PP&M! I was glad I did.

I just love Mary Travers, her hair flips, and the vivaciousness she exudes in droves.

I am so very very grateful that I was able to see PP&M at Proctors in Schenectady, NY before Mary passed. What an incredibly dedicated, talented and socially responsible group they have been. Bless you PP&M! Have enjoyed you for SO many wonderful years!!

@joetubealong Thank you! While I do think that talent exists today, it's kindof being cluttered up by bells and whistles and money. This sort of music is nice because it's pure and simple.
