I consider myself quite a fan, reading biographies, owning posters, buying their entire discography etc.; and to be honest, I like this version better than Unknown Pleasure's studio version. Keep in mind the song was written by Curtis and his words can still hold to be beautiful regardless of who's interpreting them.

@sparkyinbath How insulting! Sure, Sam Riley did a fine job....but nothing can replace the real thing. You need to watch the movie/documentary entitled "Joy Division" on Hulu.com. It might make you really "think" about what you wrote. Gee, your comment about the actors' versions of Joy Division's songs , " I prefer their version to Joy Division's" even made both my dogs puke a little in their mouths! I doubt you're a true Joy Division fan...truly doubtful.
