Shri Avinash Dharmadhikari - a noted young and dynamic administrator, social worker and activist, has been successfully invigorating a mass movement in India in the form of "Chanakya Mandal", to bring about a change where it matters the most: clean and efficient administration!

He himself was an IAS officer from 1986 to 1996, holding various coveted posts. He is a noted author, effective speaker and a visionary who has seen the system inside out. During the last eight years, Chanakya Mandal has produced many administrators (UPSC/MPSC) with national character. Insistence on "national character" along with "success in examination" is what sets Chanakya Mandal apart. Speaking in purely quantitative manner, in 2004, 16 students from Chanakya Mandal alone were selected for UPSC (out of 413 all over India) and 21 in MPSC (out of 78 all over Maharashtra). This speaks volumes, especially given the fact that when Avinash was selected for the IAS in 1986, he was the only one from Maharashtra out of over 800 all over India.
