No I don't think it's weird for people I know to buy me gifts, whether it's 1 person or 20. All those fans, who've been fans for many years and have seen him many times, all contributed to the gift and so wanted to see him opening it. And perhaps it's not an everyday occurrence, but it is whenever he makes an appearance. Only instead a gift from each person, he got one gift from all of the people together.
