i have a high ground cabin for sale here at the old dam above the wabash river clear of the flood plain. This cabin would be great for a single person or a weekend family retreat . e. mail me at snapperjohn@yahoo.com or leave a message at 812 682 3777
there are some good people that live at the old dam, they are the salt of the earth, and you wont find any better,i think the best time is in the fall, the trees are just fantastic, but spring is always nice too,so i am on my way home to the old dam,i will be leaveing tonight, looking forward to seeing red buds, dogwood,s,and crabbapple trees in bloom, and the slow transition of an indiana spring. i cant waite to pick guitar with old friends.
i have a cabin there,at the old dam,my cousin said that he and his brothers carved an indian head face in to one of those rocks at the old dam,but something broke the nose off of the face.this was many years ago.
there is a huge rock said "death as here" does that means someone died under rock, i climbed that hill that hill is pure sand and gravel and on top there like 15tons rock on top sand, so im going there on labor, be carefull guys.
Great video, this brings back so many memories from about 1957 or so when my dad would bring me down here. We couldn't go much because there was an admission charge. Is there still a charge?
Hi I love your video. My family have a river camp down there. I also took pictures and made it into a video. the video I have posted does not have all the pictures although I am trying to get that one posted.

It's about 3 miles upstream of the Harmonie Park ramp and about 1 mile downstream of the New Harmony public ramp.
