The theme song of NBC's sitcom "The Goldgen Girls" is titled "Thank You for Being a Friend" and was a #25 pop hit for Andrew Gold in 1978. The show's version is a cover sung by Cynthia Fee.

just to let the world know judging is wrong im 20 years old wear tripp pants and chain listen to industrial metal all the time and there literally only 2 things i watch on tv, futurama. and golden girl, everysingle night i stay up till 1 in the morning and watch it with my grandmother =) when she passes i will carry on this night for the rest of my life

im a guy and i love this sitcom........dont know why but it jus was there for me.loved dorthy especially(beatrice) she was the star for me lol.so many good shows back then...the nanny,fresh prince,family matters,jamie foxx show.....*sighs* love those,they still show some of em today and i watch them of course. did i mention im jus 20 yrs of age,dont really care tho say what u want anyone,doesnt matter to me....its who a am
