Brand X Misery by CIRE
From Wholesale Buyout

------Lyrics------

We won't stop until we own the air you breathe,
and sell it back for an obscene monthly fee.
We won't quit until your world is a corporate show...
And there's no need to hide our motives...
You don't care to know.

Your favorite memories will be buying pretty things,
to replace your time under a trademark sign.
Try some Brand X Misery, suicidal gluttony..
Keep you lazy and content while we chain you to the fence.

We won't stop now that your thoughts are bought and sold,
and you defend our power while we take your own.
So don't look past today, don't question the ways,
sink into the faith of a slave...
and when you're all used up we will pay you to dig your grave.

And your favorite memories will be buying pretty things,
to replace your time under a trademark sign.
Try some Brand X Misery, suicidal gluttony..
Keep you lazy and content while we chain you to the fence.

We'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
We'll be laughing while we watch you walk the plank.
We'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
We'll be laughing while you dipshits walk the plank.

It's the complete, Wholesale Buyout of everything we've been.
The trap has been set for years, now it's time to reel it in.
Watch the New American Century begin.
You haven't seen the least of it.

...And the end of human liberty will come in a bright packaging,
promising all the things it's taking away...
And our lives will become as controlled as those who were crushed,
while we all looked away...
Tuning out...
Concerned with ourselves.

  • I dont see a problem with being influenced by the best band in the world, there should be MORE bands that are taking pages out of the book of Tool. Bands like Rishloo, The Mayan Factor, Of The I, all awesome bands that have their own style in the vein of Tool. Even Tool are heavily influenced by other bands, Zepplin, Floyd, Tull, Sabbath, it's the way music works, it's evolution, 46&2. Striving to be as great as your heroes should never be disregarded as being 'wanna-be' or a 'rip off artist'.

  • @thesighco66 Totally agree with you, also everyone should check out those bands you mentioned. They're tits.

  • i love cire :)

  • Yeah, they're pretty awesome. I was suprised to find that there's only a few songs on youtube.

  • bad ass

  • how many albums cire have??

  • Reading through the comments I'm really relieved that people are open to bands sounding like their influences As a musician I hope to one day have a band that would be similar to this and to draw upon the influences of Tool APC isis King Crimson and the such as well Cire is one of the better bands executing their influences. Bands like Breaking Benjamin and 10 years while they started out well, kept writing the same damn song over and over gain, thusly becoming boring, I hope cire won't follow.

  • Pretty harsh lyrics. This song makes a bit too much sense after our economic collapse.

  • @thesighco66 More influenced by King Crimson than any of those classic bands you mentioned.

  • well said my friend

  • Just listen to the freaking awsum music, who cares if it's copied or not...What matters is that u like it...Daym!

  • @sinksinkswim

Ya, and look at some of his vocal styles in the latest Puscifer albums..

    definitely different.

That newest album is the bombtrack...

  • @thesighco66

I also totally agree with you..

I think that anyone that tries to copy bands are just a bunch of tools, but creating music based on what influences you is the whole point, right?

I'd rather hear bands come out influenced by tool than anyone else..

Also, Rishloo and The Mayan Factor are AWESOME! Expecially Rishloo.
