Lance Cade, real name Lance McNaught, died this morning of what is believed to have been heart failure. He was 29.

McNaught had several runs with WWE since signing with them in 2000, including a high-profile tag-team run with Trevor Murdoch, and a run as Chris Jericho's protege before he was released from his contract in 2008.

McNaught has two daughters and a stepson.

  • @elijahhandley: Those minor superstars didn't die on WWE's watch like Owen, Eddie, and even Benoit did.

  • I hate how minor supertstars get no death tribute. Cade, Umaga, Test... When Hogan dies, there wiull be a major tribute show in his honour. But, say, if Daniel Bryan suddenly died, what would he get. Fuck All. It makes me sick really (no disrespect to the major wrestlers who died and got tribute shows btw)

  • @shadowstories99

WWE's stance on the death of wrestlers always depends on circumstance. Usually wrestlers who turned their backs on the company or died due to substance related issues are skipped over (substance abuse because they don't want to glorify it).

Lance Cade's contract was terminated due to Cocaine usage.

I'm not exactly calling it justified. Only explaining why.

  • @LegendKilI3r Only to those who either left to company or died due to substance abuse (or extreme cases like Benoit when NO ONE wants anything to do it them)

Not justifying it or saying it's the right thing to do. Just pointing out the circumstances :\

  • Almost everyone that has died at a young age is bcuz of steroids
