Even in the future the media lies char is no where near earth the whole goddamn sector is far enough away that it'd take the Zerg awhile to reach earth at least 1 or 2 generations

i don't think so ;) remember, DuGalle and his fleet didn't take a life-long journey to reach the koprulu sector! the 3 sleeper ships that were originally launched to the sector took over 40 years to get there only because their nav-computers were damaged ... anyways the protoss, zerg and terrans are now far enough adavnced that i'd take them at max a year to get to earth, given that they know the location of earth, and i doubt that the protoss or the zerg know it :P

According to the game sources, DuGalle's 2nd Fleet task force that was sent to the Korpulu Sector was only 1/10 the size of a standard UED Fleet... and apparently, the United Earth Directorate has 10 Fleets. Still, with such a 'small' force, DuGalle was able to screw the Dominion several times over, punch the Protoss in the face, and finally conquer Char and subjugate the Overmind.

I don't know about you guys but I'd like to see what a Full UED Fleet can do.

exactly, throughout the game it is stated that dugalle's fleet is "just" an expeditionary task-force ... taking that into account i also felt that his troops managed to hold their own pretty good against the dominion, the protoss and the zerg (!) they did grow overconfident in their ability to screw 3 parties @ once and still be able to win ...

but hell, i want to see earth's full force engage the koprulu sector :)

@HolyknightVader999 We're never told how quickly it recharges. And that's precluded anyway by the fact that there were a hundred different things that could have been done WAY more competently. Like jumping in on the OTHER side of the planet.

@HolyknightVader999 The Conclave doesn't exist anymore. It was decimated during SC1 when Aiur was invaded. Aldaris was the last remaining member of the Conclave, but as we know, Kerrigan killed him. The new Protoss Society is something different, still unexplored since we haven't reached the Legacy of the Void campaign of SC2. We simply know that Artanis, which is the new Protoss leader, is struggling to keep the Khala survivors and the Dark Templar united.

@alphadios2003 I do believe you are right. The Dark Voice sent Duran to take down the unpredicted UED Fleet because he considered it as a threat to the Hybrid production facilities which are supported by the Dominion, with or without Mengsk's approval (SC2 secret mission). The Dark Voice knew the UED could have discovered and possibly destroyed these facilities should they have gotten further access to even more top-classified files in the Dominion Datanet.
