Wild Turkey spotting

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I spotted this wild Turkey wandering around up by the tractors. It's funny to think I'm going to be eating one of these things in a few days. We haven't seen wild Turkeys around here in about 5 years, there was a whole family of them. A hen and a tom and six young. But before the eggs were hatched, my friend Ryan accidentally stumbled upon their nest while clearing away brush. Within about 30 seconds he was surrounded by a gang of adult Turkeys who seemed quite angry. Ryan got out of there fast. Turkeys are not birds to be messed with.

There's a turkey in my backyard that looks just like that one. She's not that afraid of me, she likes to watch me when I'm out in the woods cutting down a tree or getting something from my shed. Made me feel guilty about thanksgiving turkey, but it was still delicious. Oh yeah, and this turkey flies!
