"This idea of freedom (in my art) could build up everything." In the center of this portrait and documentary about the work and ideas of Joseph Beuys stands his great exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum New York, 1979. The german artist called this environment once "his biography". Harald Szeeman has chosen this documentary as the only film at his important exhibition of the work of Beuys in Zurich 1993/94 (John Halpern 1988, 58 Min.).
