Stewart Lee - Kitten Postcard

Possibly my favourite old bit of Stewart Lee stand-up, taken from the Fist Of Fun live video. The whole show can be seen online for free on Stew's website (or Google video), I just especially liked this bit and hadn't seen anyone put it on YouTube yet. Enjoy.

NOTE: The sound gets a little out of sync as the video goes on. I've resynced it a little but basically they're just at different speeds so there's only so much I can do.

ALSO NOTE: There's a bit just over half way through with Rich sticking Peter's head down a toilet which seems completely random and out of context but is continuing on an earlier section of the show.

ALSO PROBABLY NOTE: There's some very strong swearing.

@DaemonPanda This clip is from an hour-long video Lee & Herring made, that bit is a cutaway continuing on from an earlier part of the show. Makes sense when you watch the video as a whole but in this clip it's obviously entirely out of context.

That was on his TV show Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle, which you can get on DVD. It was the episode about Comedy, broadcast as episode 5 but meant to be episode 6.

It's good, but old Lee provides proof that he gets better with age. It doesn't compare with his more recent stuff. Was this the 90s?

Yeh mid 90s, this was the Fist of Fun video, which I think was hastily made after the second series of the show.

The best thing about Stewart Lee's stand up is the silences. You need so much confidence in your material to have those long pauses and that much of a drawn out delivery.
