you 2 are both amazing i just started violin i'm 17 i always wanna play this instrument I got 2,5 month lessons now, thats 5 lessons
you guys are really helpfull and a good extra training
violin is very hard and my pinky to xD
but I practice in de holydays 3 hours a day and during my study 1 hour a day
but it's worth it because I can play a couple of songs now and can finaly read notes
my teacher is really happy and gives me harder execices

my pinky is kinda locking when i do the excecise is that normal?

@muttohgardner Actually, no, it is not normal. It sounds like you might be double-jointed, or that you have weak joints. I recommend that you do my clothes pin exercise for double joints (even if you aren't double jointed) It has helped dozens of people! (and you get results fast) That video is also on my channel....it's called, "Clothespin Exercise for Double Jointed Violinists".....check it out!
