How does this work if you try to take a little energy off of it? For instance, to power some LED lights or charge a battery?

Hi Latheworks. Thanks for the kind feedback. No plans, started out with some alloy rounds (top & bottom plates), brass rod (displacer sleeve), sintered bronze round bar (power cylinder), cylindrical perspex cookie jar (displacer chamber), some graphite rod (power piston), silicone tubing (conrod joints), some precision ball bearings, some styrofoam packing sheet and a lathe, the result is many hours of trial and error and tweaking.
