These 2 games are very solid and fun side scrolling adventure game on the PC Engine / Turbo "Grafix" 16. These two games really should be on the Virtual Console for the Wii.
Legendary Axe II is an amazing game and I only knew about the first one which didn't interest when I saw it on the internet me but when I decided to put Legendary Axe II which I assumed was just like the first one (because I didn't see any videos of it), I was amazed. I only got it Sunday and played it last night and a lot today.
Having never owned a Turbo Grfx 16, I had no idea what it was capable of. I just got Rondo of blood on my Virtual console and I was blown away. The system was impressive for its time
By the way. Im looking for the TG16 commercial in which two dudes played the system while their dog ate their sandwich. I'm pretty sure they were playing Legendary Axe and the dog was a doberman pincher. Any links?
I love em both, but the first is a classic. BTW, in Japan part 2 isn't a true sequal. It's a different game alltogether. Kind of the way Super Mario Bros. 2 isn't a true sequal in Japan. The main character(s) were swapped for the Mario clan and the game was labeled SMB2 for the states. Still a worthy addition to the franchise.
I loved the second one. I was like 22 when this system firtst came out. came out. If I wasn't working, I was constantly playing this game. I hope like hell they make this for the Wee. This and Keith Courage. What are they waiting for???!!!!
this is like the native american version of castlevania lol

Fucking seriously. Why is this game, one of the best games on the TurboGrafx-16, not on the VC?
