Swing: Johnny Downs - It's In TheStars (1938)

the Phi Beta Nu fraternity and the Nu Beta Phi sorority reluctantly vote to stop dating each other so they can devote more time to their studies. The students' astronomy professor thinks the whole idea is foolish and devises a plan to get the two groups back together. Johnny Downs and Eleanor Lynn play the lovers caught up with their "friends" trying to keep them and everyone else apart.

There is one good musical number with these two standing under the stars and Downs singing a rather catchy tune in another clip. At the dance the professor's plan seems to work. Features Johnny Downs doing a hybrid swing encompassing many different forms and movements/ Patterns of various swing dance styles ... Collegiate Shag, St. Louis Shag, Charleston, Truckin' and more. Benny Goodman can be seen dancing here a well, altho short.
