"injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

Welcome to Britain. What a great place.
Millions of us died in wars they say we had to fight. Great people fought for rights of human beings to live a dignified life. And now the media and government are criminalizing vulnerable people
There are many people on jobseekers who have undiagnosed health problems. It's barbaric to attack and belittle people for being vulnerable but not one celebrity or public figure has took up our cause. They won't - too worried by our unfashionable status.

Thanks Milesi9 for your comments. Yes it is hard out there as I am sure you are aware so anything like this at present is much needed.
why are the police there?
I find that very disturbing.

@telemetry9 We are dealing on the streets with vulnerable people, some have mental problems others drink and drug problems and some have ended on the streets through family breakup etc.. The reason that the police were there was because they had had complaints about drinking in a public place and anti social behaviour. This sometimes happens. We do not encourage this sort of behaviour as it causes problems in the long run. The police in this instance were polite and helpful. They are not all bad

For me personally - it was disturbing. I believe one of the men also stated he found it unsettling. From an outside point of view - it looked like people being fed in charitable status were being monitored and checked out. Perhaps the police aren't all bad - but that uniform doesn't denote loyalty to the community or the public. when the call comes they will enforce law - regardless of how unjust.
They can't even leave folk some space in their poverty - had to pock their heads in.

@telemetry9 Just had a listen to the sound recording of the police intervention. Very polite as I have already stated. Can't say the I disagree with your sentiments but once again not all bad. You will probably find in this case it was the council. They see the homeless that we feed here as an eye sore as it is next to the main bus station in Coventry and the first things tourist visiting see. Sad times we live in.
