Teen Bullying: In Memory of Jamie Hubley

You guys know I'm not really an emotional person but this absolutely hit home for me. Bullying in schools (and everywhere else for that matter) needs to stop. Jamie, I won't stop fighting for you and anyone else in your situation until things really do get better. Rest in peace.

"James Hubley took his life last Saturday on October 15th after years of relentless bullying. He was openly gay and suffered from depression. Just after his funeral, a rainbow appeared in the sky near the church; a fitting farewell. He was 15 years old."

I went to school with Jamie, and he was such a great person. His smile just instantly makes you smile. I'm not straight myself, and I wish there was something I could have done. I am not more active in Ottawas gay community and I have such great joy in helping people who just need a voice.
