Drive in cork city. Grand parade. http://CorkCam.com & http://CorkCamera.com
The opening shot is of Wolfgang Grabe's Jeweller Shop at 42 Grand Parade and R&D Cleaners to the left.
Then a drive South on grand Parade with a view of Cross & Sons Hilman Cars dealership where government buildings are now
The trip then passes R&D cleaners & Jeweller shop again at 42 Grand Parade (now tourist office). .
Then to Patricks Street passing Barters Travel and 'Le Chateau" bar and where McSweeney's Photo shop is now. The video ends with a very short view of Cashes (Brown Thomas now) with the guy on the scooter in the foreground
Notes:
The rent on the Jeweller shop was £4 10shillings each week which was handed into the Sless office on grand parade. Mrs Sless was killed in the Aer Lingus crash at Tuskar Rock in 1968.
The Jeweller shop moved later to 38 Oliver Plunkett street -http://karlgrabe.com/theShop/
