We had a blast sledding down pure-white sand dunes at this great national park/monument in New Mexico! We also show you design lovers the nifty WPA-funded adobe welcome center which has been lovingly maintained. Go to Design2Share.com for more fun excursion videos in our Trippy column - and for all your home decorating advice.

  • WOOP IM GOIN TODAY!

  • @Deathreaver91 COOL!!!!

  • Wow! Looks like huge mounds of sugar!!

  • @thelookout782 Sugar describes it very well. It's white gypsum and blindingly white. In the sun, the glare was so intense, we weren't quite certain we were aiming the video camera correctly! Thanks for watching! Best, Jay

  • You were having fun. I'm glad for you.

  • @MonyMG1959 Thanks so much for watching! We had a complete blast. It rained the day before, so the sand was a bit on the "slow" side, according to our hosts. But if bone dry, the sand is fast and slippery and the sliding goes much faster. Would love to go back and try it again. It was like being ON MARS! Best, Jay
