Tamiya Mini Cooper M-03.
Lights: custom ordered 6 x 5mm white LEDs and 4 x 5mm red LEDs from billscustomrclighting.com
I've now spent a bit more time and effot in fixing the wires to the inside of the body. Rolled up paper around the wires and fixed in place with tape gives the appearance of a rollcage and does a nice job of hiding the wires.
The two main headlight cups are reflectors from AA size Maglites. They are the perfect size for this 1/10 scale car. They are glued in place with super glue, but I found that they'd still come out anytime I had a crash, so I've now also packed in a heap of "Blu Tak" or "UHU Tak" (depending on where you're from) and it holds much better.
The spot lights on the grill are held in by cutting holes in the body and using the bezels that came with the kit to hold them by tightening the nut on the inside of the body. I also used a piece of stiff plastic from an old model kit as a backing plate to give it more strength.
The tail light bezels are glued to the inside of the body and the lights then push into them to sit right upto the body and shine through. I would not do this again as they are always coming out with every bump, even with strong glue. I'm doing another shell where they will be drilled through same as the front, stay tuned.
