Sit the bench in the NBA and never play a single game and you're still a millionare. This is ridiculous that Gumbel even treads on racism and slavery. Gumbel should have been fired for this. I hate lockouts and such. If I were in charge, I'd fire all the players and let new talent fresh from college and high schools reform the NBA. The NBA, of all leagues, is way over priced anyways. Nobody wants to pay $200 for cheap seats at a game. Greed is running rampant in this league. Fire them all.

Slavery is not the only activity which ultimately occurred on the plantations, share-cropping also happened, that's when the "owners" exclaimed you to be free, but still devalue and control you and essentially continue to treat you, as if, you were still enslaved!!!

GUMPBEL IS A BIGOT. HE PRETENDS HE LIKES BLACK WOMEN IN WORDS BUT NOT IN DEED. He was once quoted as saying "black people are beautifule" So what did he do? He married a white woman. Obviously has an inferiority problem. He should be banned from tv. He's a liar. HE SHOULD BE PUT TO JAIL WHERE HE BELONGS.

@khadijahSP there are at least 10x more blacks in africa than in the usa & africans don't dominate anything. the blacks in the usa sort of dominate physical sports because the yanks chose the bigger & stronger blacks as slaves & so there forebearings. where was your dominant brains?

It is obvious that the teams have no problems working out and balancing the value of their trading swaps. It is also obvious that the teams in trade talks and deal making with each other did not complain to Stern about any problems, so why would Stern interfere in deal making between teams, because, like a child, Stern feels he's getting back at players. Stern truly believes he's a plantation owner and overseer and sooner or later, someone's gonna have to put this fool in his place.

@EliasJordan3, you are wrong and I totally disagree. David Stern being a Khazar (a member of those calling themselves Jews today) and that has everything to do with it. While I and my colleagues watched the announcements ending the lockout, I had stated that Stern would attempt to get back at the players for putting up a solid and commendable fight against unfairness as a result of Stern's abnormal behaviors and suffocating crudeness. Clearly, I wasn't wrong nor am I surprised.
White people love Wayne Brady because he makes Bryant Gumbel look like Malcolm X.

firstly, it's despicable that Gumbel has to drag race into this. Truly sad, especially in this day and age. Secondly, somebody explain to me what is wrong with a 51/49 split in favor of the players, or a 50/50 for that matter? The NBA is a BUSINESS and it's the job of the owners to run it, not the players. In what job ANYWHERE in the world does the employee take home 50% or 51% of the profits? If anything, blame the players for being so damn greedy.
