@strongwar54 the strings are the same name as a regular guitar. from the bass string to the highest treble string: 6 E, 5 A, 4 D, 3 G, 2 B, 1 e

I just got the same banjitar (or 6-striing banjo) a couple days ago having a blast on it! will you upload some more videos on playing it? :D

GHS makes a very good set of strings for this instrument. They are real banjo strings, but in a six string set, all wound steel and high tension. Much better than using guitar strings I have found, plays and sounds much more like a banjo. I think they are something like `10's - 40's across the six strings

@muzzleflash7 yup, it's basically just a guitar that sounds and sorta looks like a banjo
@TERRTIBBS0138 It sounded great for what I was looking to do with it, at the time. Not to play like guitar or banjo, more of an eastern sound without being an eastern instrument. I just didn't need it on every track, obviously. Some people love it, but for a lot of people it's not for them. Hope that helps.
