  • how did they write her off of 227?

  • They didn't really write her character Sandra off of the show. In the 4th season Jackee filmed a pilot for a spin-off of "227" called "Jackee". It featured Sandra moving to New York City and getting a job at a spa. The only character from "227" to appear in this show was Helen Martin as Pearl.

  • Although this sounds like it would mean her character has left the show, Jackee became a regular guest star in the final season of "227". There was never any explination as to why Sandra moved to New York and then popped up in Washington, DC again.

In reality, this occurred because Jackee filmed these episodes before her departure from the show. For some reason they have just always been aired out of order.

  • (COMMENT WAS ACCIDENTALLY DELETED) thanks for the helpful info. i think 227 went down hill after sandra left. they started adding all those random boring cast members - and the writing was no longer funny. however, i have 2 additional questions: 1) how many seasons did jackee last? 2) how many seasons did 227 last after jackee left?

  • "227" lasted 5 seasons (116 episodes). Jackee left the show after the 4th season and guest starred in the 5th. I personally believe her departure from show caused its cancellation but there has never been anything claiming that is true. Jackee appeared in 6 of the final season episodes.

  • Jackee' was the sexiest woman on tv...she was the J-Lo, and Beyonce' of 80's tv she had curves and wasn't ashamed to show them

  • She reminds me of Vesta Williams, which makes sense, since Jackee and Vesta are friends from way, way back... ;-)
