The outcome was obvious but i still prefer the MG. Has more character.

Top Gear has tested both of these cars, anyway - and liked them both. There's something about the MG's chassis and handling that had Jeremy grinning like more of a loon than usual.

LS1 baby

@tadpole5555 It's meant to be. All Holden-derived Vauxhalls tent to be based upon the HSV versions. The VXR8 is literally a Club Sport R8 with Vauxhall badges
-
I like my car to be fun and id take the Holden anyday, this is coming from a Ford fan too

Saw a ~Vauxhall Monaro in the car park outside where I work today with Holden badges stuck all over it. Waited for ages to see if the owner was around, no luck. When I got off my shift it was gone. =(

I thought the Vauxhall Monaro looked like a HSV Coupe not a standard Monaro
-
Outcome was pretty obvious - matter of opinion but personally I think the MG is bloody ugly and the interior is hideous! The vents etc in the console/dash are the ugly cherry on top for me...
-
Ummm... 100kg less, 900cc more, and 64bhp more? Also, sporting estate vs "muscle car"... No wonder it won.

the car maybe aussie and its cool, but now that i seen the coupe 60 concept monaro it looks a little dated , but that big ass v8 is straight out of yanky land if your gonna get one of these then you gotta spend the extra few thousand for the far superior hsv models
Top Gear tests cars that most everyday people will never get to drive, fifth gear is the same but tests more everyday persons cars!

Might I say, 5th Gear isnt as good as TG!
Tiff is a good power slider, have you seen him do the FWD, RWD and AWD driving techniques?
