This tutorial is brought to you by motionboardshop. com. In this video, we show you the variety of downhill longboard styles and the pros and cons of each. Hopefully, you can use this to help find the deck that is right for you. We show you the differences between top mounts, drop throughs, drop decks, and drop-through drop-decks from industry leaders like Landyachtz, Rayne, Earthwing, and Madrid.

Make sure you also check out our clinics on downhill longboard trucks, carving and vertical kingpin trucks, longboard wheels and more. If you have more questions about finding the right board and want to talk to an expert, give us a call today. 206.779.3272 We're here to help!

  • if i want to do DH and commuting

    Landyachtz killswitch ?

    or

    Landyachts switch

  • @mclucky1029

Landyachtz Switch. The W concave in the Killswitch will become unpleasant over long commutes.

  • i have a drop threw downhill board with 72 mm 78 a wheels....how do suggest i stop when going fast? should i buy slide wheels, and if so do you sell them?...please respond back...thank you

  • @Nascarrr48

First make sure to always wear a helmet. You can slow down by eaither footbreaking or sliding. Search about for " Landyachtz Longboards - Get Safe " for a great video on speed control and how to stop.

  • Which weels do yo recommend for drifting and sliding much? (=

  • @Jbratset

anything with a higher duro and a smaller diameter would work for sliding. i would recommended the orangutang durians or zombie hawgs

  • @mclucky1029 well depending on how tall you are i would recommend a Black Dog: Beaver its 37" and is great for both down hill and cruising

  • @talltooth i already got a newboard. i got a Kebbek Max Earin

  • @lucas40684068 the killswitch, but if you could get any, i would recommend getting a landyachtz switchblade

  • turner is not technically a word

  • @MotionBoardshop and windbreaking!!

  • @Jbratset Do not ever buy Otang durians. look at Abec11 Freerides or Cult Classics.
