The purpose of this video is NOT to unfairly bash or criticize Supreme Commander's environments. Instead, it's largely a response to Adam Sessler's Soapbox "Bigger's Not Better", which was released earlier this week and can be found here:

In this short look back at the game, I criticize the lack of immersion that its multiplayer maps (i.e. environments) produced despite their immense scopes. I have seen this trend on the rise in many RTS and non-RTS games alike, and I personally believe that it can really damage the gaming experience. If you're a fanboy, please relax and know that I'm actually a big fan of SupCom, myself - I have been following its progress since before it even came out and I still play it to this day.
Oh, and I apologize in advance for the sound quality, so if it's too quiet, please turn your speakers up.
i hope thats not your review of the game beacause you just focused on one small flau the entire time that nobody cares about, you also have to consider its not about making the enviorments look pretty its about creating a good strategic and tactical map.

If you didn't notice, the video was a response to Adam Sessler's idea that bigger isn't necessarily better when it comes to gaming environments. It's obviously not a review of the game, just a critique of this trend in RTS games using SupCom as an example. In SupCom, what's the point of playing on a planet-sized map when it doesn't even look like a planet? Creating "good strategic and tactical maps" simply isn't good enough anymore - RTS games have done that since their inception.
