The Plymouth stylists designed cars that looked TOUGH!

@Motorchevytoyota oh, i hear you on that and totally agree and don't get me wrong, I was teasing, I've had a 68 Impala (grandma's car which is now in Germany) and a 76 Landeau...loved them both.....I wish Fiat would let Chrysler bring back an Imperial and wish Ford would bring back a T-Bird but the 60's jet inspired type.

@Motorchevytoyota with a youtube handle as yours, of course you would lol Open your mind....the plymouth is sooo much better, not until you actually drive one will you understand lol (i'm biased lol)

This looks like an original Chrysler dealership "demo film". I like these. Those were the days.

@RickinFLA07 long time, since this comment. I was reading something on GM. You are right, they positioned Buick between Olds and Caddy. I just bought a 98 Le Sabre Limited with 74,000 miles one owner. I do not think anyone used the Leather, looks new. The whole car does not have one mark in it. Hard to believe for a 13 year old car. 3800 V-6 best motor GM ever made. On the Polara the wheel base was longer, not long ago Collectable Auto did a profile on the 69-73 Polara.

Electronic ignition and the electronic voltage regulator really helped the longevity of Chrysler motors, long after people stopped maintaining them.
Agree with you whole-heartedly. Early 70's GM big cars, while stylish, had short hoods, cheezy seating, cheap electronics and, as always overrated. All of the heardtops squeaked, rattled and leaked from day one. Had 73 Ford LTD Brougham and 73 Lincoln Continental. Far more solid and nicer touches anb options. Chrysler was underrated. 73 Fury, Imperial, New Yorker beat them all out......

@zickie2000 Even my 73 AMC Ambassador has a much more solid and sturdy feel to it than a comparible Chevy Caprice Hardtop of the day. I owned a 76 Caprice Landau and worked for a Chevy Dealer in 1978 and 1979 and the traded in Chevys of the early 70's were really crappy. Where as the Chrysler products of the same vintage really were solid.

Osborne, I used to have a bunch of 8mm promo films for the 1973 and up cars. I had a promo film identical to this one except that it was for the Polara custom with identical features. I would send them to you to digitize but most of them were destroyed in a flood.

@imperial73 aw, that would have been great..such a shame....I still have more films to upload.....but not many left and mostly about the trucks and ramchargers. that is too bad.
