@palerider1775 Well, I live in an open carry state, so I don't use Conceal Carry...

But I utilize it more in the Field, Coyote Hunting, so it's probably better in Condition 1

@psiclonus If this is your concealed carry piece, I'd say the best time cock the hammer (and then putting the pistol on safe) is right before holstering it and getting ready to go about your day. I won't even go into why manually decocking the hammer after chambering a round is a bad idea.
