  • Still, women are always the last to get the vote.I have to say that I voted for Obama but looking back, I should have supported my own alliance. Let's hear it for the first female president! Much love to Maya Angelou

  • There are very few people that I stop whatever I am doing to listen to what they have to say when I hear their voice... She is one of them.

  • @CarvedGrape Her poetry isn't even the same type of poetry as Chaucer, Byron, Alcott etc. She is a modern poet. The best of OUR day. I for one think that Maya Angelou is an AMAZING Poet. Her poetry speaks across all borders. Almost everyone can relate to her poetry. I'm not saying it's better than the poets you've mentions, the fact is that she is a Modern Poet, and her writings speak to millions of people.

  • @CarvedGrape its not like I spend every waking moment sitting on my computer like you. Sorry, mate.

  • @showoffverrado You did and you have lost this argument. It took you 6 days to reply, how sad.

  • @CarvedGrape i did not make one insult, just a basic stating a basic fact, mate

  • @showoffverrado Instead of counteracting my argument, you make personal insults. Typical of an uneducated liberal. Looks like you lost that one mate.

  • @CarvedGrape hahahahahaha you just showed how much of a complete recluse you are.

  • @Bendixensen Wonderful, maybe. Amazing poet? Not likely. Nothing she ever created can sum up to a % of what REAL poets like Alcott, Byron, or Chaucer. Angelou is a JOKE in College Literature courses.

  • WONDERFUL person! Amazing poet! USA must be proud of such a person. And I don't know if it makes any difference to tell but I am white and I think she is one of the grandest poets I have ever known.
