the power of pandering. it works even better if you have a shill in the audience who screams at just the right moment...."we love you john!!" than you humbly rock back on your feet and smile... almost crying and then after a few poignant beats of the now collective heart you start playing again. pure overpriced communion.

Love Mayers tunes! guitardaze, agreed! LOL! I think he is a great musician, but come on, when you hang out in LA and New York and own homes there your asking for pictures taken. Your right daze that made no sense. How is getting his picture taken messing with his message? What message is he trying to send out? To me his message is. "hey look at me I am really talented and famous. I wonder how many famous chicks I can bang before I am 40."

i love john mayer like anyone else, but it's very true, i understand the whole picture thing, but if he's walking around LA with celebs,drunk as balls, it's not the photographers fault.

I don't think you got what John meant. It doesn't matter what he does in his personal life, what matters is his music. So what if he gets drunk? Lots of us do and nobody takes our pictures and posts them around. Being a musician is just a profession and like every other profession, what you do in your free time shouldn't influence how people see your work.

I a huge fan but, the message in all his songs is that he just wants to thanks us? "your body is a thank you la la" "I want to run through the halls of my thank you" That didn't make sense. How does getting his pic taken mess with his message? If he wants to stay away from the paps he needs to stop dating celebs, and move away from LA and New Your City. I think he loves the attention, and I am one of his biggest fans. I wonder how in touch with reality you are after that much fame? Just my .02.
