Your so beautiful I cannot believe that your parents disowned you (forgive me) but they are idiots. Missing out on knowing such a beautiful and radiant person like you is their extreme loss. My ex boyfriend (now really great friend) when he started his transformation his parents did the same and my parents stopped speaking to me and removed all of my pictures out of their house and told ppl they did not have a son. so I understand I pray that your parents come around and stop being ignorant.

@kidbright aw well thank you :) to be honest, i'm surprised at how my parents reacted too. i didn't expect them to be immediately supportive or understanding, but i didn't think they would tell me that they never wanted to see me again either. like you said, it's their loss- i'm not losing any sleep over it :)

*so I'll just say this. All that matters is that you have an emotional connection with someone, maybe a physical attraction as well, and wether the person is trans*, gender variant or cis gendered is irrelevant. All that should matter is the person, not what may or may not be in their pants.

I don't like how incredibly rude some people are being. By saying "I'm hetero but I'd date you" is invalidating Annika's identity. She's a beautiful WOMAN, no different from any cis-gendered female apart from being born in the wrong body. You should just say "You're gorgeous, and if I were to meet someone like you I'd date them" rather than what you did say. I'm not saying its necessarily transphobic, but it is encouraging an other-ness, and the belief that trans* people aren't equal.
