Well everything in the game has either high matk or high patk, everything uses a 2H weapon. This is what happens when you go from +4lv1R5 Summoner Armour, to +6lv10R6 Summoner Armour vs this insane attack power.
What I mean is, the only time armour is even going to help you is if your p/m.def is roughly the same as the p/m.atk of your attacker. Now check this, everyone uses skills, no duh, but they have about 4k p.atk on most, and 4k+ m.atk on the mage style skills. So, who do you know that has a p/m.def of 4k? Nobody? Didn't think so. The only time you need worry about armour is against classes with low base p.atk, like Assassin or Evoker for instance. An RP's fireball has about 10-14k m.atk...the only things that even help with def in E5.2 are percentage based decreases (i.e Pass Damage, Magic Skin, Godly Protection, etc).
As I'm sure you can see, the armour doesn't make a bit of difference in the grand scheme of things. The Salamander in this test is lv12x+25, and has roughly 2.5k p.atk (19xx+5xx). The BS using fire arrow has around 3.8k m.atk on the fire arrow skill. Hope this saves you some money.
Feel free to do you're own tests, but this is the second test of this nature I've completed, and the second time I've decided that the extra effort of enchanting armour...is much more wisely used on weapons and cards.
Thanks for this!
