Taking my "late" Dad's 1969 International Scout 800A 4X4 out for a drive on Sunday afternoon, June 27th, 2010...the day after what would've been his 67th birthday.
I hadn't driven the Scout any great distance in two years...and this day I drove 13 miles. Just hadn't taken it out due to a bad doughnut exhaust gasket. You can probably hear it in the video. Since I hadn't driven the Scout in a while, the batteries haven't lasted...and I needed to check the brakes out. They work as do the gauges!!! Got some fresh gas in the Scout too.
PS - Manual steering, brakes, transmission, choke, windows, etc...and no AC! What a workout. Still reminds me of the times I used to drive it during high school and college as if it were mine. I'm sure I annoyed my Dad then.
Cool video!
